One Torah shall be to him that is home-born, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

Concerning the symbolism of certain numbers in Scripture.

Zerubbabel,

If the foundation of everything in Scripture is usually 12, why only 10 founding laws, and if 7 is the number of completion, then why only 5 books of Torah?

Just wondering,

shalom achi,

S____,

Five is the number of division, that is, it separates the true follower from the untrue. We see this number significantly portrayed in the parable of the ten virgins, five went in to the wedding and five did not (Matt. 25), which brings us to the number ten. Ten is the number of the northern kingdom, among other things. If there was ever something that the northern kingdom should pay attention to, it is the ten commandments. It is his entrance into the kingdom of Elohim. Sadly, the descendants of the northern kingdom do not honor all ten, thus, the number five comes into play dividing the descendants of the northern kingdom into those who shall enter into the olam haba and those who will not enter into the olam haba.  If one does not want to be separated from YHWH and be in the wrong five, then he had better obey all ten.

Furthermore, the ten is a part of the twelve and Israel will only be complete when all twelve tribes are present and active within the land YHWH promised to Avraham, Yitzchaq, and Ya’aqov.

Shalom,
Zerubbabel
